The Mummy 2017 is the first movie in Universal Studio's attempt to copy the Marvel cinematic universe and set up one of their own in "Dark Universe". Although this is the perfect movie to redo for the start of a universe, I feel that the writers were too focused on the setting up of related movies and didn't spend enough time on the film itself.
